"The best songs, though, like ‘My Car Is Haunted’ contain numerous tiny jewels, moments of chiming percussion, buzzing electronica or gorgeous keyboard lines that deserve a cleaner sound. It is, after all, possible to be too cool. ".*Read Full Review

"Varied but never lacking cohesion, Let It Beep is a charming and entirely unforeseen hit for tastes demanding their rock a little rough-hewn and happily unaffected. That it makes KoL sound as sonically redundant as U2 and Oasis is merely an accidental bonus."*Read Full Review

"Fanfarlo were conceived by Simon (vocals, guitar, keys, mandolin, sax, glock) while he was taking shelter in a forest from a particularly heavy snowstorm in Sweden. Inspired to move to London to form the band, he quickly found allies in Justin (bass) and Leon (trumpet/keyboards) when playing small gigs around the city. Mark (electric guitar, keys, vocals, accordian, fanfarlophone) then joined, and Fanfarlo’s electronic backing track was ceremoniously destroyed when Amos (drums & percussion, vocals) was enlisted to complete the rhythm section. "Where previous Phoenix albums maybe lacked a little cohesiveness Wolfgang... confidently delivers, with one sexy, polished, funky feeling running the full course of the album. It never strays as far as (the admittedly great, if slightly bonkers) 'Funky Squaredance' did on United and the result is a classic case of focus trumping variety - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix isn't trying to be a jack of all trades, it's busy enough being the best technicolor-disco-punk-funk album in years." "(...)Phoenix have undoubtebly made the best album of their career so far. It's so damn enthusiastic it would be churlish to ignore it. " *Read Full Review

"Fans of Auerbach’s previous material may miss Patrick Carney’s percussion, but Keep It Hid is something else entirely, an opportunity for Auerbach to flex all his musical muscles without confining Carney’s own strength." *Read Full Review

"Black Keys singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach opens his first solo outing with an acoustic country blues that sounds utterly authentic but signifies mainly as a museum-quality reproduction. Fortunately, the rest of Keep It Hid hews more closely to the Keys’ scuzz-encrusted, blunt-instrument assault."*Read Full Review

"It’s admirable that Auerbach would want to start looking outside of the limitations he and fellow Key Patrick Carney put on themselves at the jump by bringing in a full band to augment his sound. But there’s not much on Keep It Hid to enjoy that couldn’t have come from the Black Keys."*Read Full Review
